Goals

• To create a face-to-face experience between congregations and MSN leadership
• To pray and participate together in Gospel-Based Discipleship
• To listen to congregational stories about their mission/ministry on the 4 BCMS goals
• To explain MSN structure/ timelines and introduce members
• To update congregations on MSN Task Teams’ work
• To work with congregational leaders on specific Task Team initiatives
• To continue to expand and strengthen the Contact Person Network ministry
• To increase awareness of and commitment to the MSN effort through specific action items

Means

Work with regional deans and CPN to schedule 2½ hour gathering(s) in various locations around the diocese which are open to participants from all Episcopal congregations with individual invitations being extended to people working on ministries directly interacting with 4 goal initiatives.

Components of Gatherings

• Gathering, opening prayer and overview of agenda
• Gospel-Based Discipleship
• Overall MSN status report & initial info about convocation 
• Explanation and recognition of CPN/members in area congregations
• DVD presentation on developing the Diocese as a network followed by group discussion
• Small group work on 4 MSN goals
• Closing stories/prayers on what learned, how connected, what’s next

Leadership Responsibilities

• Regional Deans will work with Anne Miner-Pearson to decide the best time, place and date for gathering(s) and means of contacting clergy and lay leadership in their region
• Regional Deans, Anne Miner-Pearson and Contact Person Network members will work together to publicize gathering(s) and recruit a broad congregational participation
• 4 MSN Task Teams’ members and CPN will provide leadership for the gatherings Members of host site will make building arrangements
